Varnavas

Varnavas (Greek: Βαρνάβας "Barnabas") is a town in East Attica, Greece.

[3][4] On 11 Aug 2024, a large wildfire in Varnavas caused smoke over Athens.

[5] Varnavas is situated in the hills of northeastern Attica.

The municipal unit has a land area of 37.349 km2 (14 sq mi)[6] and a total population of 1,771 inhabitants (2021).

[1] Its other settlements are Agía Paraskeví, Ágioi Dimítrios kai Panteleímon, Moní Metamorfóseos Sotíros, Ágios Ioánnis, Pouríthi, Moní Panagías, and Limniónas.
