[1][2][3] The tournament was originally scheduled to be played from 1 to 8 May 2021, but was rescheduled from 15 to 22 May at request of the Local Organizing Committee.

[2] However, the start date was delayed to 16 May due to problems with the teams' flights and permits to enter the host country.

[4] The tournament was played at the Polideportivo 10 de Julio in Florida, Uruguay.

The draw resulted in the following groups:[20] Each team has to submit a squad of 14 players, including a minimum of two goalkeepers.
