2022 Georgia Attorney General election

Incumbent Republican attorney general Christopher M. Carr was appointed to the office on November 1, 2016, following the resignation of Sam Olens to become the president of Kennesaw State University.

Incumbent Republican Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr faced criticism from former president Donald Trump and other Republican officials for his refusal to pursuit a lawsuit over the disputed results of the 2020 United States presidential election in Georgia.
