Akins is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, United States.
It is part of the Fort Smith, Arkansas-Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Sequoyah's Cabin, a national historic site, is located about two miles northeast of the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 13.6 square miles (35 km2), all land.
