It is a new masterplanned residential neighborhood located 49 kilometres (30 mi) west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Penrith featuring views of the scenic Blue Mountains.

[2] The suburb is bounded by: Western Sydney University Penrith Campus to the north, Claremont Meadows to the east, Orchard Hills at Caddens Road to the south, and Kingswood to the west.

Caddens is very close to Western Sydney University Penrith Campus, which lies outside the northern boundary of the suburb.

[6] Kingswood and Werrington railway stations are the closest with direct connections to the Sydney CBD, Penrith, Blacktown and Parramatta.

[7] Alternatively, residents can catch the local bus services that connect to St Marys railway station.
