Also, the team managed to win the county phase of the Romanian Cup, defeating Vox Târgu Jiu 4–0 in the final.

After 0–1 at the Municipal Stadium in Sibiu, the team led by Mihai Dinu lost 1–5 at Târgu Cărbunești.
