He was the spokesman for the Hellenic Government (2007) as well as for New Democracy party (November 2009 – January 2011).

He also served as the Minister of Employment and Social Protection in Kostas Karamanlis's 2004 cabinet.

He served his military service in the Hellenic Air Force[1] from 1978 to 1980.

He is fluent in English and French.He was married to Maouzi Tsaldari and he has a son.
