Solon is a town in Cortland County, New York, United States.
The region was part of the Central New York Military Tract used to pay soldiers of the American Revolution.
The Hatheway Homestead was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
As of the year 2000 census, there were 1,108 people, 382 households, and 310 families residing in the town.
