St. Luke's University Health Network

[1] The network was founded in 1872 when St. Luke's Hospital was chartered in South Bethlehem.

In 1875, the hospital was relocated to its current location in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania.

Upon his death in 1878, local businessman Asa Packer entrusted $300,000 worth of shares in the Lehigh Valley Railroad to the hospital.

The health network celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2022 and established a new children's hospital the following year.
