It runs north-south along the western side of the city, between Hickson Road and Hay Street.
[1] It was named in honour of Prince Augustus Frederick, Duke of Sussex, the sixth son of King George III.
The street features a large number of older, heritage buildings, alongside more recent developments like the Sheraton Four Points Hotel.
It is in a part of the city that was depressed for a long time, but which has been revitalised recently.
