The American Snuff Company, formerly Conwood Sales Company LLC,[2] is a US tobacco manufacturing company that makes a variety of smokeless tobacco products, including dipping tobacco or moist snuff, chewing tobacco in the forms of loose-leaf, plug, and twist, and dry snuff.

[3][4] Originally established as "American Snuff Company" in 1900 in New York City, the company began manufacturing smokeless tobacco products in 1904 in Tennessee.

The company is currently a subsidiary of Reynolds American, after being acquired in mid-2006 for $3.5 billion in cash.

Nowadays the company has three facilities, two in Tennessee (Memphis and Clarksville) and the other in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
