Breakabeen is a hamlet in the town of Fulton in Schoharie County, New York, United States.
Much of the early European population was not British, but in fact Dutch, as with numerous other communities in this area.
The Schoharie Creek flows nearby the Breakabeen, encouraging both farming and colonization.
Breakabeen was just several miles south of the Lower Fort and was passed through by Patriot and British forces.
Right outside the hamlet is the Breakabeen Cemetery, which features a prominent grave of a World War I veteran.
