Cusco province

Some of the highest mountains of the province are listed below:[2] The province is divided into eight districts (Spanish: distritos, singular: distrito), each of which is headed by a mayor (alcalde).

Its current mayor is Luis Pantoja Calvo (2023–2026).

The province is inhabited by indigenous citizens of Quechua descent.

Spanish is the language which the majority of the population (80.87%) learnt to speak in childhood, 18.22% of the residents started speaking using the Quechua language (2007 Peru Census).
