Johnson Mountain is a 6,106-foot (1,861 m) Navajo Sandstone summit located in Zion National Park, in Washington County of southwest Utah, United States.

[3] Johnson Mountain is located immediately southeast of Springdale, towering 2,200 feet (670 meters) above the town and the floor of Zion Canyon.

It is named for Nephi Johnson (1833–1919), a Mormon missionary, interpreter, explorer, and the first white man to visit Zion Canyon.

[3] In 1858 a Paiute guide by the name of Nauguts led Nephi into the Zion Canyon area of the upper Virgin River.

This desert climate receives less than 10 inches (250 millimeters) of annual rainfall, and snowfall is generally light during the winter.
