[1] Ward was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2019.

[3] Ward was cut at the end of training camp in 2020, but was re-signed to the Chiefs' practice squad shortly afterwards.

[4] Ward made his NFL debut in Week 17 of the 2020 season against the Los Angeles Chargers, starting the game and finishing with five tackles, including his first career sack, in a 21–38 loss.

[8] On November 15, 2022, Ward was signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad.

[15] On August 27, 2024, Ward signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
