The Dash went on a six-game unbeaten streak during Lowdon's tenure including a 2–0 away win at the Portland Thorns and a 5–0 win at home against the Orlando Pride with Nichelle Prince scoring the club's first hat trick.
On June 15, 2022, the Dash appointed Amorós as the club's new interim head coach pending visa approval.
